Run or Walk Pup 5k
October 26, 2024 Proceeds go towards the Edgewood Dog Park Register by October 10th to get your race shirt! Check in at 8am Race starts at 9am Costumes encouraged! Halloween themed 5K with your pup! Start at Community Dreams Complex Dogs must be leashed at all times. One dog per entry and one dog per handler. Dog are encouraged be updated on Rabies, DHLP, and Bordetella vaccines. Please respect space around each team.

About the Course:
Terrian includes gravel, cement sidewalk, asphalt roads, and ends in a grass patch.

Race will be timed. Awards to fastest male and female in each age category, overall, and oldest dog.
Race will end where we started at the Community Dreams Complex.

About the Cause:

The small town of Edgewood has a BIG heart for dogs. With families owning dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes it is important to offer a safe and reliable area for dogs to play and like-minded people to hang out with their furry friends. Adding the dog park to the city of Edgewood will allow people from the area and also visitors an easy place to stretch their legs and exercise their dogs safely. Money from this event will help raise funds for the Edgewood Dog Park maintenance and equipment.
The Viking Loop Trail System is new to the town and has been a great place for people and dogs to get in their daily walks. With the dog park right in line with the trail system, we are looking forward to connecting these two-community recreational hot spots. Funds raised from this event will also benefit the Trail System and expansions in the future. |
