Dog Board & Training

POSITIVE RE-ENFORCEMENT WITH TREATS AND PRAISE
Calm, positive training that holds the dogs attention and makes them want to work. Not all dogs are the same and we find a reward that the dogs like to use as positive reinforcement. Treats, toys, pets, and play time are used as rewards for correct commands, good behavior, and steady improvements. Each dog will learn that working well equals rewards and fun! Making learning quick, easy, and enjoyable.

EACH DOG IS SPECIAL
Once the basics are assembled and understood, then we start to introduce new and harder things for your dog to focus on and work through. We match the pace that your dog wants to learn while maintaining a good work ethic and drive to please. We build bonds with the dogs we work with and enjoy making the dog a happy and loving member of your family for an easy transition!

Building Blocks

A STRONG FOUNDATION LATER LEADS TO A STRONGER STRUCTURE.
Our dog training packages are split into levels to help both you and your four-legged family member learn at a progressive pace. Once a level is reached and understood by both parties, the next level can be unlocked. This builds a great bond and foundation to the training that will stand the test of time and stressful situations.

Our levels are as follows:
  • BASIC LEVEL - Builds the foundation of reliable commands like crate training, sit, down, leave it, come when called, car rides, and leash walking. This program is $300/week.
  • INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - Teaching your dog to heel by your side, stay, ride in cars calmly, go to their place mat, and add distance plus distractions to all their previous learned commands. This program is $350/week.
  • ADVANCED LEVEL - This level teaches your dog to sit when you greet a stranger, heel in a crowd, and more. They will now be prepared for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam. Public access to dog friendly places. This program is $450/week.

Transition to home

WORKING CLOSELY WITH FAMILIES MAKES US STAND OUT
Having the families we work with understand their dogs training and knowing the best way to get the best results is what makes our program stand out the most from others. We work closely with each family member so they understand all the correct commands and when to reward their dog. Weekly lessons are encouraged and the trainer often will personally return the dog to your home to help transition the dog back to their home and boundaries.

We know that every dog is different. We are ready to do what works for both the dog and the family for the best success and will go out of our way to make sure our program is working for all involved and goals are being met. A confident dog is a happy dog that enjoys its job and is easier to be around. Every dog has a background, whether it is a good one or a bad one can determine the length and approach to their training, and we are skilled enough to take on a troubled dog and help them come into their full potential.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How old does my dog have to be to enter the basic level?
Your dog or puppy has to be a minimum of 8 weeks old. We are more than ready to follow your veterinarians recommendations to continue shot protocols and will not allow your puppy in public until their rabies vaccine is received.
All ages older than 8 weeks old are welcome!
How long should my dog stay for each program?
For each program we strongly recommend your dog stay for 4 weeks.

From basic to advanced level would be a total of 12 weeks and $1,800 total.
What requirements does my dog have to have to be part of the program?
  1. We should know if your dog is aggressive in ANY way (food, people, other dogs, toys)
  2. Current DHLP shot
  3. Current Bordetella (kennel cough)
  4. Current Rabies Vaccine
  5. Current De-worming and Flea/tick medication
  6. Current Grooming if your breed requires it
  7. As thorough of a history background as we can have for your dogs will help us understand their way of learning quicker.
Where does training take place?
We do all of our training at our home and also involve dog friendly stores and public places later in their training. We work closely with other dog professionals to tackle all training aspects including working around other dogs as a distraction. Your dog will be treated like an honorary family member for their stay with us. Each dog has their own crate, feeding bowl, toys, and turn out time outside. We also encourage supervised group play and freedom around the house with their level of training.
What do i need to bring with my dog for training?
The only thing you need to bring with your dog is enough food for the duration of their training. NOTE: If your dog is picky about treats, please bring any that you know they would like and we can always try new ones later in training.

Our trainers provide collars, leashes, toys, crates, feeding and water bowls, and treats. Remember to bring a collar and leash upon pick-up if the trainer does not arrange to come to your home.
How many dogs do you train at one time?
We are very one-on-one with our dogs. We try to keep our numbers under 2 training dogs at once. Our main trainer, Brittany, also works a full time job.
How often will my dog be trained each week?
Your dog will be handled daily. We usually break sessions into two sessions each day. The length of those sessions depends on each dog but are usually around 15 minutes each.
Break down your prices for me.
Our levels go up because of the length of time your dog can pay attention at one moment and we also encourage traveling in cars and trips into public in our intermediate and advanced levels. Our prices reflect the added gas and travel time that our trainers personally take on.

So, lets look at numbers....
Basic Level - $300 a week
7 days a week > $42.85 a day
$42.85 a day covers two 15 minute training sessions daily. That roughly comes out to $1.40 a minute of training. Compare prices if you must, but I bet we are the best priced around! We encourage any other questions you may have about our pricing.
